HOW TO RESPOND TO UNITAR E-MAIL

Dear all students,

As you are aware, apart from VOISS or Student Management System (SMS), e-mail is another channel for University to make general announcement to students. Your incoming e-mail will indicate the sender as UNITAR Announcement whereas the fact is that UNITAR Announcement is not the actual sender.

The original sender could be any department who make the relevant announcement through CRM (Customer Relationship Management).

Sometimes, you wish to respond to the announcement but the question will trigger you is: How do I reply to the announcement or make comments on the announcement or seek further clarification???

Below are the guidelines:

Step 1: Read the whole announcement till the end. If it states to whom a reply or comments to be addressed, just send it accordingly.

Example (a): Vacancies available for our graduating students. So, those who are interested please submit your resume by online to counseling@unitar.edu.my not later than 20th February 2009.

Example (b): Announcement about workshop - To get your seat to this workshop, email quickly to mohar@unitar.edu.my or jayanthi@unitar.edu.my or call 03-76277125 or 03-76277122 respectively for further assistance and clarification. Places are only available for 40 students. Selection will be based on first-come-first-serve basis.

Example (c): Mr ABC is leaving the University, he sent farewell message to his students stating his personal e-mail address as abc@yahoo.com or abc@hotmail.com or tel 012-3331188 at the end of his message.

Example (d): UNITAR announcement on Online Course Registration without reply address has been mentioned.

Step 2: Make sure you send the reply to the given address.

The above examples (a), (b) and (c) expect students to reply to the e-mail address as stated above. However, we encountered many students replied to UNITAR announcement In the case of example (d), the reply address has not been mentioned. Therefore, if you wish to comment or seeking further clarifications on the matter it should be addressed to crm@unitar.edu.my

[UTF-8?]We would like to REMIND you again, please avoid sending e-mails to UNITAR announcement. If you keep on doing that, your e-mail will not reach the intended person/department.
